Results of the 2020 Newport Virtuosi International Online Competition
On behalf of the Newport Virtuosi organization and international jury, I would like to thank all contestants for participating in our competition. I also would like to wish everybody a very prosperous, healthy, and happy new 2021 year. During this year, Newport Virtuosi will celebrate its 15th anniversary.
Our 2020 International Music Competition gives us enormous pleasure to see how music united us during difficult times.
We were overwhelmed by the number of applicants from all over the world. The jury had a challenging task in selecting the best video performances.
The jury made their decisions and awarded the contestants from the USA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, India, Qatar, Ukraine, Norway, Russia, Netherlands, Spain, Lithuania, and Poland.
Below, you can see the names of the contestants in their respective categories and places. All diplomas were mailed to the winning competitors during January 2021.
It was a great pleasure to announce an additional video contest among the best performers who received our jury’s highest ratings. Their videos are posted on our website. The website visitors and viewers could vote by liking a video of their favorite contestant. Our sponsors generously agreed to establish a special incentive price of $100, which will go to the contestant with the most liked video. All dislikes were completely ignored.
This video contest ended on March 2, 2021.
We are happy to announce the Newport Virtuosi 2020 International Music Competition’s results of the most liked video contest.
At the closing time of 8:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, the most like performance belongs to Sofiia Zholobova with over 1,300 likes.
We congratulate Sofiia on her great success and award her with the cash prize from our sponsors.
