About the newport virtuosi

The Newport Virtuosi is a not for profit organization dedicated to promoting performing and visual arts.

It was founded by its artistic director Dr. Slava Timokhin in 2006 in Newport, Rhode Island, USA and celebrating its 15th anniversary.

Since that time, Newport Virtuosi has been committed to educating, and inspiring audiences, children and adults alike. Newport Virtuosi takes a prominent role as one of the leading performing and educational organizations. The organization has a tremendous, positive impact on its community.

Rules & categories

The idea of the Newport Virtuosi Online Music Competition is to bring contestants from all around the world, through one of the most powerful platforms nowadays – the Internet.

Competitors are asked to provide video recordings of preferably two contrasting compositions.

The most important and beneficial factor for the participants is that there is no pressure or stress sometimes associated with live performance. They can re-perform it again and again, as many times as they think it is necessary to reach the best quality recording and to showcase their talent to the fullest.

The categories divided into five groups:
Category One: Age 7-8
Category Two: Age 9-10
Category Three: Age 11-13
Category Four: Age 14-16
Category Five: Age 17-19
Category Six: Age 20-25

International jury team

Along with the members of Newport Virtuosi, we invite special international jury to help us chose the worthy contestants in the fair and professional manner.
